Hello friends!  Jennifer here to share another layout I created with the December Main Kit!  This kit has many papers and embellishments from Maggie Holmes' Shine collection which is one of my favorites!  I am loving the fun colors of this kit!
I used one of the Shine Glitter Word Thickers for my title. I also added a cute gold pennant sticker also from Shine.
One of the best embellishments of this kit is the full package of wood veneer shapes/words from Shine! I used this cute wood frame with patterned paper and more stickers from Crate Paper! Also included in the kit is a full sheet of letter stickers from Elle's Studio!
I used a cut file from The Cut Shoppe and backed each row with different patterns from the kit.  Also you can see more of the cute stickers from Shine, as well as another wood veneer shape.
The 6x12 sheet of Shine stickers have much to choose from! I am loving the pennant stickers as well as the many sentiments!
Thank you for stopping by today! It's been an honor to design for Paper Camellia!  I am going to to truly miss these great kits!

Hello friends! Jennifer here with another layout I created using September's Main and Add On kits!  I love all of the Crate Paper goodies from the Wonder collection as well as pieces from My Mind's Eye and Simple Stories.  The papers have a girly feel to them but are great for pretty much any theme!
I used one of the wooden veneer words from Crate Paper's Wonder for my title. I layered papers from Wonder as well as My Mind's Eye's On Trend.
I am in love with the felt hearts that are included in the Wonder Ephemera pack!  I stapled one to the side of my photo as well as added a die cut flower and a cute sentiment sticker.
More layering of some of the lovely papers! I added this cute paper clip pennant from the Add On Kit. You can also spy coordinating enamel dots that are from the Wonder collection.
For the bottom half of my page, I used a cut file from the Silhouette shop. I added circles from different patterns as well as added brads from Simple Stories and more enamel dots. I also love the mini gold sequins!
Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to check out the shop starting October first to see these and October's Kits!

Hello and Happy Monday!  Jennifer on the blog today to share a layout I created with this month's Main Kit!  June's kits are full of gorgeous papers from Pink Paislee, American Crafts, Studio Calico, and Chickaniddy Crafts!  Also, the Main Kit has Exclusive Paper Camellia Wood and Acrylic Embellishments!    In honor of Father's Day, I scrapped a photo of my niece and brother-in-law at a recent Father-Daughter dance!
I used white/silver Thickers from Pink Paislee's Citrus Twist collection along with the fun Glitter Words for my title.   Also, included in the kit  are a full set of Citrus Bliss Chipboard Stickers such as this cute pink/white cabana striped heart.
Showing some of the many embellishments you receive in the Main Kit!  There is always so much to choose from!  I used more Citrus Bliss Chipboard Stickers along with Chickaniddy Crafts brads and Exclusive Paper Camellia Vellum Hearts.
For my background, I used a fun cut file from Just Nick Cut Files and added different patterned papers into random "petals".    Under my title, I used more of the Citrus Bliss Chipboard pieces, as well as more Exclusive PC heart wooden veneers!
This Exclusive circle embellishment is one of my favorites! I thought it made the perfect center to one of the flowers!

Hello friends! Jennifer here to share a layout I created with the June May kit!  This month has a bright summer feel with its warm colors and fun embellishments (including Paper Camellia exclusive acrylic words and wooden veneer shapes!)   The beautiful prints inspired me to scrap this adorable photo of my daughter when she was a baby!
In the Main Kit, you receive an entire pack of Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss Chipboard Stickers including multiple sizes of chipboard frames.  I layered this fun newsprint frame with one of the Paper Camellia Exclusive Acrylic words and a White Glitter Word also from Citrus Bliss.  And how cute are the pineapple and flamingo shapes?
More cute chipboard pieces from Citrus Bliss!  I am loving the gold accent on the heart!
Showing more of the chipboard elements from Citrus Bliss. You can also spy a Vellum Heart which are another Paper Camellia Exclusive!
Using my Silhouette, I cut multiple sized circles and layered.  It was fun to add some of the embellishments from the kit to the centers of the circles.  One of my favorites is this PC Exclusive Wooden Veneer shape!
Thanks for stopping by!  You can go to the Paper Camellia shop to see the current kits and many add ons!  Have a great day!

Hello! Jennifer here to share a layout I created with this month's Main kit!  Ria has put together another winner with beautiful papers from Crate Paper, My Mind's Eye, and Jen Hadfield for Pebbles!
For my background, I used a fun cut file created by design team member, Sherri Funk!
I layered a few of the acetate pieces from the Maggie Holmes Confetti Ephemera Pack by Crate Paper under my photo.  My title is from the Celebrate Chipboard Thickers pack which includes fun words as well as numbers!
Using a circle punch, I added in various patterned papers to some of the circles as well as a few of the gold Maggie Holmes Confetti enamel shapes!
Included in the main kit are an entire pack of On Trend sticker sheets from My Mind's Eye! That means 5 sheets of cuteness!  I added this "Happy" tab to the top of my photo and layered it with a gold accent acetate from Maggie Holmes' Confetti collection.
More chipboard loveliness from Crate Paper as well as a pennant sticker from On Trend. Also you can spy the gold and blue paper from Jen Hadfield! Love all of the gold accents!
I love these acetate pennants from Maggie Holmes' Confetti line!  I placed them at the top of my page and then stitched through.
Thanks for stopping by today! Check out the Paper Camellia Current Kits to get this month's kit as well as see the fun Add-On Kits!  Keep checking the Paper Camellia blog for sneaks of May's kit!  Have a great day!

Ice Skating Fun

Posted on February 21, 2015 by

I love that when Ria puts together a themed kit, it's still general enough to use for an everyday page.  The February kit was perfect for a layout of Davis' first time skating.

I always love all the bits and pieces Ria adds, and this month was no exception.  Here are a few closeups.

So much fun, right?  I have LOVED this month's kit, it's probably my favorite kit so far.  Thanks for stopping by the blog!

Everyday Valentine

Posted on February 13, 2015 by

Meet my in-laws.  It's rare to get a photo of them together, as mom is always bustling around in the kitchen, and dad is usually puttering away with one thing or another.

We recently enjoyed a family vacation in Orlando Florida and invited these two to join us.  My favourite thing about vacationing with them is watching them play with our girls.  Life is moving fast, and it won't be long before those times are over.  So glad I captured this photo as we were traveling on the train ride through Busch Gardens it was perfect for this month's kit.

My favourite thing about this month's colour combo was the hint of mint green among the pinks and creams.  It's a colour I use to avoid, but have discovered how much I really like it, even in clothing.

I often hear people say they have a difficult time with layering.  I'll admit I can remember when I use to feel the same way. The way I learned was simply to lift examples of others.  I may not have had all the same papers or embellishments, but I would mimic their patterns with what I had on hand.  These two shots are a pretty good example of how to begin trying your hand at layering.  For the above photo I mounted my photo and then layered it on top of another piece of patterned paper that I cut just slightly bigger than my photo and placed just off to the right a bit, so it wouldn't be perfectly centred behind my photo.  Next I grabbed one of the die cut tags from the kit and sandwiched it between my mounted photo and the small piece of patterned paper.  Then I added that gorgeous puffy heart and tucked one of the stickers from the Kiss, Kiss sticker sheet between the two.  See, pretty easy.

For this cluster, I simply grabbed my sticker sheet and went to work tucking here and there, and using 3D foam adhesive for dimension.  In my opinion 3D foam adhesive is the best product for helping to build layers and create dimension on your layouts.  It's one item I am always running out of.

In order to balance out the amount of green I used on this layout I added just a touch of pink stitching to my layered label stickers. Doing this also helped me to create my visual triangle which will always ensure there is visual balance to your layout. (The brush script circles cut file is a freebie I downloaded by the ever so talented Nicole Nowosad)

Interesting in getting your hands on these gorgeous kits every month?  Hop over here to the subscription page to get started.  And if you're curious about what past kits may have looked like you can see that for yourself right here.

Thanks for popping in today.  I hope you've been inspired to go and create something beautiful.
