Brenda here bringing you a little something different today. I decided to step outside the box and make a layout with the beautiful stuff in the Everyday Life kit. All the little paper bits and the frames were perfect for this "grid" like layout.
I think this vacation is one of my favorites so far. We were able to stay in a little condo (trailer converted to a vacation cabin) within walking distance to the beach in South Carolina. This beach is so different from the west coast and even Texas. We hit it just right a few times and go there before almost everyone else and were able to enjoy the coastline basically to ourselves. The kids even learned to use their boogy boards.
This summer has been a good one. So many memories to scrap and put in my albums. I hope yours has been just as fantastic.
The August Scrapbook kit was the perfect partner for scrapping our summer moments. I just love when the color palette and embellishments compliment the seasons photos so well. Here are the last two pages I made with the kit..
I hope your summer is winding up nicely and that you're finding time to scrap with these glorious kits!
Good Afternoon all!
Today has been one of those days. I am sure you can relate. haha In fact, this page was about one of those weeks. Their were not a lot of photos taken but I did get to see my husband for a couple of days while he was miles away doing some job training. Like 9 hours drive away from us...for 3 months. I was at the end of my rope and lacking any desire to do anything creative. Thanks to the visit with my hubby and the beautiful area we live in, I got it back. This page pretty much documents that feeling. Loneliness, sadness and exhaustion turned to joy and happiness. Life is sometimes like that. I love to document those things because life isn't always rainbows and ice cream.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a lovely crafty weekend!
I couldn't resist making another main kit only page this month. I loved that "Happy Things" paper from Pinkfresh Studio and knew it'd be perfect for a layout of my daughter's 14th birthday. Here is the layout I created.
I added some cut files from The Cut Shoppe for the title and as an embellishment, but everything else is from the main kit.
Thanks for visiting the blog today, hope you are having as much fun with the August kits as I am!
Good morning! I am a huge fan of sketches and this layout happens to be based on the sketch from this month. You can go HERE to take a look at a couple different takes on it. Let's take a look at my sketch and how changed it up a bit.
You can from the above photos that I flipped the sketch and had the heaviness over to the right instead of the left. I did feel that I needed an anchor and added paper to the left side for balance.
I painted the wood veneer dark blue to help bring in the dark blue letters that are available in the scrapbooking kit.
I also interpreted the sketch onto a card. For this card, I left the heaviness to the left. The card is pretty simple but still very cute to send to a friend.
