Good Afternoon all!
Today has been one of those days. I am sure you can relate. haha In fact, this page was about one of those weeks. Their were not a lot of photos taken but I did get to see my husband for a couple of days while he was miles away doing some job training. Like 9 hours drive away from us...for 3 months. I was at the end of my rope and lacking any desire to do anything creative. Thanks to the visit with my hubby and the beautiful area we live in, I got it back. This page pretty much documents that feeling. Loneliness, sadness and exhaustion turned to joy and happiness. Life is sometimes like that. I love to document those things because life isn't always rainbows and ice cream.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a lovely crafty weekend!
Good morning all!
Brenda here today to show you my second page for June. This week was very quiet. We didn't do a whole lot which was nice. In fact this whole summer has been pretty chill. With our really large move and daddy being gone for a few months, the kids have pretty much wanted to just relax, play with their friends, go to the pool and sadly, watch tv. Thankfully Grandpa is living downstairs and lets them watch all the tv they want. haha
There has been a lot of Bandit (our ferret) snuggling, dancing, coffee, sleeping in and some pouting. Poor Kaitlyn is still to small to wander beyond our cul-de-sac by herself. It makes her very sad.
I absolutely loved the Everyday Life Kit this month. The colors are so bright and pretty. It is like a lovely little bit of sunshine on my pages reminding me of summer as I flip through my book.
How is your summer? Are you enjoying a laid back quiet summer or is yours full of on the go fun?
Hi Paper Camellia friends. Sandrine here today to share a new spread made with the August Everyday Life Kit and some items from the Details Add-On Kit. I played with the pink and flowery cards to boost the white cardstock I use everywhere. The acetate card "Beautiful" is so inspiring too. And finally I added some little splashes of paint.
Love the tiny camera ephemera.
These sentence stickers are so easy to use.
Hope you have a great summer, not as hot as in France...
For my last layout for April I am featuring my girls and the ferret. The two brighten up my world so much. They are sisters so it is never perfect but they love each other so much. I adore when I catch them playing nicely together or whispering secrets to each other.
This layout was kept very simple. There is a lot going on in the photos and too much "fluff" would have made it seem cluttered. Now, the focus is on the photos.
The softer colors and florals worked perfectly here as well. The 3 photos of my youngest were more muted while the bottom two photos were more bright. I was actually worried about placing these on the same page and even considered putting them on a smaller protector with each on their own side. In the end I am glad I kept them on the same page. It really makes their differing personalities shine.
using Everyday Life Main Kit
So don't be afraid to use your busy photos or photos with different lighting and mood together. Just keep things simple and let the focus stay on your beautiful memories.
I was procrastinating on the last of the packing. Can you tell? It was hard to not just drop everything and play with the kids and take photos of things I wanted to remember. This was our first home. The only home our kids had known. The floor with its dings and stains. The funky front windows. The bed in my room where Kaitlyn would hang out and play while I worked. Of course we had to make one more tent in the living room and gather one more bunch of weeds. I think the impending move was catching up to Kaitlyn. She had a rough day this week. How better to feel better than to be silly.
I love how the bold colors and patterns balance so well with the softer tones in some of the cards here. It has a nice flow coming down the page from top to bottom. The "receipt" card from the Everyday Life kit is my favorite card from the whole kit. I had been hording it till I got to this page.
Thank you for stopping to see my pages. Here is to a new month and new memories to scrap!
Hi, It’s Veera here today to share a layout I made using the May main scrapbook kit. I have had this picture of blooming orchids on my table and the beautiful pink papers from Elle’s Studio were perfect for this photo. And you can’t go wrong by adding a touch of gold to the mix!
By choosing the pink papers I was able to emphasize the pink in the picture too. I like to try different colors and patterns to find the best suited option for the picture.
The wood veneers from Elle’s Studio and gold foam stickers from Amy Tangerine were perfect embellishments for this layout!
Did you get your May kits already? There are still kits left in the shop so make sure you grab yours if you haven’t already!
Hello friends! Today I have a pretty pink pocket page for you. This is from about a week before we moved when we were still in New Mexico. I was feeling a bit down so I prettied myself up a bit, bought some pink flowers and played with my kiddos. I was supposed to be finishing up the packing and getting ready to move but I just couldn't. Although this move was exciting and we were all looking forward to it, it was hard. Sometimes you just need a little pink and a little pretty to get through.
I absolutely loved all the little bits and pieces in this months Everyday Life and details add on kits. Elle's Cienna bits and pieces and stickers really made this page come together quickly. A couple pretty cards and a few layers is all it needed to make the photos shine. I am going to be really glad for this memory recorded when my children are older. Especially since it appears we will have at least one more move ahead of us. Here's to adventure and new things, even if they do make us sad for a moment.
