What's better than the best photo, surrounded by the best embellishments... with the most gorgeous (best) patterned paper color combinations? Nothing. Sometimes there are just those pages that make you smile and say, "aww. That's the best."
Have you had any of those lately? Share them in the gallery so we can all, "aww," together!
Hi Paper Camellia friends. I'm happy to share a scrapbooking layout with you today. You know that I am an Everyday Life addict but sometimes it's good to create a simple layout too. I still had papers from my October kit so I grabbed them all, chose a black and white picture and go to a simple design.
I hope you love pink and gold!!
Wishing you a great day!!
The weather has started to get cold where we are and lately I have found myself digging through photos of warmer times to keep warm. I happened across this photo from April 2012 while I was planning pages with my October kits. It was perfect. The light and the colors fit perfectly with the pink, green and yellow here.
products used: October Main Kit
I love that all the pink in this kit worked so well for me on this page. Even though it is actually a photo that focuses on my son. Sorry child.
p.s. Don't be afraid to use girly colors and elements on boy pages. Sometimes it just works.
Hey there! Do you ever get to the end of your kit and wonder.. what do I do with all of these leftover bits and pieces? They're too pretty to toss, but not enough for a page? Wrong! Grab a piece of cardstock and layer here and there. Then add the title and journaling and pretty soon you've used up every last bit!
One of these days I'm going to see just how many pages I can get out of one kit. It will be SO many! I just love using up every last piece. Hope you have a stellar and scrappy weekend.
Hi Paper Camellia friends! Sandrine here today to share a new spread with the October Everyday Life Kit. In my last post I used the very bright cards and embellishments included in the kit. This time it's only soft colors and gold touch : Paris is a romantic city right?
I created a pocket with one card from the "My Story" collection and I slipped the Eiffel Tower entry ticket in it.
Remember to share your creation with the October Everyday Life Kit in the gallery so we can see them! Have a good day.
Good morning friends! Today I am sharing my layout that was used for the reveal. I loved all of the little bits that came with this kit. The best part are those amazing alpha. I actually planned this entire page based on the placement of the words at the top of the page. These are just so fun.
Of course the photos of my little munchkin in her wolf hat had to be scrapped all in a row, too. Her sweet chubby cheeks in the glow of my studio light we too much to resist. She sat on my desk and told me stories while I snapped away. I want to write a book all about her little wolf and her bear.
Oh and I have a fun little tip for you. You know those paper pads that have the coordinating pattern on the little strip on the top where you tear it? I sometimes leave the strip on and use it to add a little more interest to my page. Can you find it here?
Thank you for stopping by! I would love to hear of any little tips that you have. Unexpected things that you use on you pages. Have a lovely day!
Hello friends! Jennifer here today to share a layout I created using the fun October kits! The gorgeous papers and fun, little embellishments are perfect for just about any theme!
Don't you just love the bicycle print paper from My Mind's Eye's Mint Julep collection? At the edge of my photo, I also added pieces from the Mint Julep Ephemera pack which is found in the October Add-On kit. I love the mixture of the colors and gold accent!
In the Main Kit, you will find these lovely gold letter Thickers from the Jen Hadfield Pebbles line. They really make your title pop! I again added some additional Mint Julep Ephemera pieces, as well as a cute enamel heart from the same collection.
I pulled more pieces from the Ephemera pack to create this cute banner. I then stitched through with my sewing machine and then added a gold foil heart.
There is so much gold in October's kits! In the Add-On kit, you will find the Jen Hadfield's Cream with Gold Dot paper. It is even more gorgeous in person! I added a piece as a background, as well as added a cute red/white polka dot tab and gold arrow.
Thanks for stopping by today! Check out the Paper Camellia shop to see this month's kits! Also be sure to check out the December Days kit that is FULL of beautiful papers and embellishments! Have a wonderful day!
