The August Scrapbook kit was the perfect partner for scrapping our summer moments. I just love when the color palette and embellishments compliment the seasons photos so well. Here are the last two pages I made with the kit..
I hope your summer is winding up nicely and that you're finding time to scrap with these glorious kits!
I loved the way there were sheets of Simple Stories patterned paper that could be cut up into individual 2x3 cards in the March kit. They make is easy to crete pocket pages, and or full layout pages alike.
I cut apart 2 different squares for this design. The patterned papers in the I Am collection are so gorgeous it was difficult to finally cut into one to create. With both A and B sides worthy of any project, cutting them apart, brings a twinge of pain.
Here I layered a few pieces for the chipboard pieces in the kit. I find you get the best adhesion when you add just a little double sided tape to the underside. How cute is that little bird anyway?
I placed my journaling down the side as I ran out of room for it, in my original design. Initially, I had contemplated adding a thin black strip of paper down that same side to create balance, but I'm glad I didn't as the black ink balanced it out quite nicely.
See that chipboard pennant. I cleverly pulled through a piece of the seam binding ribbon to create a sweet little bow on top.
So many great, and interchangeable elements in this month's kit, it was pretty much impossible to keep them separate. I hope you're having fun with the March kits. Don't forget to link up your creations to our gallery so we can all ooh and aww over them.
