Love is...

Aimee here to share a Valentine's Day card I made with the January kits. I saw this quote on a sign at Home Goods, and I knew I wanted to make a card with it.

I first cut the sentiment from my Kraft Cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo.
I also put a bunch of scraps down on my mat and cut a heart, the only thing my scraps were to large so only 2 pieces were cut.
I backed the Kraft with the Teresa Collins Polka Dot Paper. I then adhered the “heart” onto of the Kraft. I decided it needed a little more and that’s where the stitching came in.

Thanks for stopping by!

Using the Bits and Pieces

Posted on January 23, 2014 by

The project I have to share with you today is all about using the little bits and pieces left at the end of the kit. I only had 1 full sheet of patterned paper left in my kit when I sat down to create this layout. I had lots of bits and pieces though. I decided to cut back on the patterned paper and use the tiny bits.

I added sequins, enamel dots, and a few splatters of gold ink. I started embellishing at the top left and continued to the bottom right of the page to create some movement. I balanced the project with my large title on the left and journaling on the right.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Start With an Embellishment

Posted on January 22, 2014 by

Sometimes when I sit down at my desk I don't know what photo I want to use or even what story I want to tell, I just know I want to create. So, I start with an embellishment. For this project I started with the huge wood veneer ampersand from the January kit.

I adhered the wood veneer and assembled the title around it. It was after the title was on my page before I chose a background paper or a photo. It may see m a little backwards but sometimes that's when the creativity hits, some of my favorite projects began with a little bit of a different creative process.

Hi all, today on the blog we have a layout by Kristine using the January kits.

I love the wood background and the rectangles allow for six separate spaces to create.

Thank yo for stopping by today...and look for some big news from Paper Camellia coming in February!

I am off to CHA to discover all the lovely bits and pieces that come together to make our kits! But before I go, I  wanted to  share a fun layout by Aimee Maddern using the January kits.

I love the corrals and peach tones against the kraft background.

The die cut from the pattern paper adds texture.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Everyday Life

Posted on January 10, 2014 by

Kristine here on the blog today. After completing 4 layouts I still had a few left overs from the January Kit. I decided to use my scraps and embellishments to create a Project Life spread.

I used some pieces to create flowers, journal cards, and it came together quite easily. The chipboard pieces I stamped with Gold Ink and used the Glitter Alphas for my title. So easy and so much fun!!
Don't throw away those little pieces.. use them up! ;-)

Have a great day,
Kristine Davidson

Let's do this

Posted on January 09, 2014 by

Good Morning! Aimee here to tell you about my layout “let’s do this” made from the January kit. In 2013 I decided I needed a lifestyle change, such as changing my diet and exercising. I took this photo sometime in December {in So Cal our winter looks like fall}. I used this photo to represent starting the New Year fresh. I plan on keeping it up in my studio to remind me to get out and walk everyday!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
