December Every Day Life Kit

Posted on December 05, 2014 by

Hi friends, it's Janice here to share with you some close ups using the December Everyday Life Kit.

This kit included the cutest star paper clips and colorful fabric stickers.

This picture reminded me of The Very Hungry Catepillar.  If you're familiar with the story, you'll understand why I used the puffy dots. :)

Also included in this kit are many adorable wallet sized title cards... and more puffy stickers.

Lastly, one of my newer favorite items are the transparency overlays.  A perfect frame for your 4 x 6's.

This is my last post as a DT member for Paper Camellia.  It's been a fun and memorable adventure.

Peace.

Hi, Janice here today to share a spread with you made with the November Everyday Life Kit.  I love that all the items in the November Everyday Life kit are color coordinated with an autumn feel.  No matter how I mixed and matched, the pages are soothing to the eye and look as if they were made with accessories from the same company and designer.

How are you using your November Everyday Life kit?

Thanks for stopping by.

Adorable Die Cuts

Posted on November 07, 2014 by

Hi friends!  Janice here to tell you that the November Everyday Life Kit is full of super fun die cuts of all kinds.  I'm sharing four different ways in which I used four adorable die cuts to embellish my pictures.

I had a great time creating these layouts by combining the die cuts with pictures, journaling and other embellishments.

How will you use your die cuts?

Thanks for dropping by.

Hi there.  Janice here today to share two pages with you that I created with the amazing October Everyday Life Kit.

This kit has an assortment of gold bling that worked so well with the rest of the assesories.

Also in the October Everyday Life kit were unique cork pieces, perfect for labeling and highlighting.

I love the die-cut frames and wallet sized cards.  How would you use them?

Thanks for stopping by.

A Layout with the October Everyday Life Kit

Posted on October 06, 2014 by

Hi.  It's Janice here to share with you one of my layouts using Paper Camellia's October Everyday Life kit.

As always, I had so much fun playing with all the different accessories and finding a good match for all of my pictures.

For this picture, I used a gold framed overlay and then a sticker as a highlight.  I really like the "not-too-busy" end result.

For this card, I used part of a cut out frame, placed it on top of some colorful paper, layered a sticker on top of it and combined it all with a picture collage.  Again, simple but still fun.

How are you going to use your October Everyday Life Kit?

Thanks for stopping by.

Everyday Life with Janice

Posted on September 20, 2014 by

Hi everyone! Today I'm highlighting a few pictures that I included in my September Everyday Life kit layouts. These are 4 x 6 pictures that I wouldn't normally think to accessorize but I've done so because I continue to be challenged to think outside the box.

I've said before that my natural tendency is to keep things simple in order for the picture to remain the main focus.

With each kit, I've been able to step beyond my comfort zone and use frames and overlays that I probably wouldn't go out and buy.

How are you challenged to think outside the box when it comes to scrapbooking?

Everyday Life with Janice

Posted on September 13, 2014 by

Hi friends, thanks for stopping by the blog. Today I want to share how I create a one page pocket page layout. Design A is my "go to" favorite and knowing this helps me as I take pictures. Balance is key to an eye catching layout. I keep in mind close ups, long shots, a person looking at the camera or not, group pictures, collages, and color or black & white, etc.

I try to have a change of perspective in the layout - not too much of the same point of view. Also, I usually have at least one card with journaling. If I label or embellish a picture, I keep it simple, to not take away from the picture.

With all of that in mind, I layout my pictures on the corners first and start shifting them around to try and achieve harmony and balance. I find it very therapeutic and I enjoy this process so very much. Thanks for dropping by.
