Hello, my name is...

“Hello my name is” Aimee and its my turn on the blog to share a layout.

I used February’s Main kit to create this layout. CHA was super fun this year. I even got to meet our very own Ria from Paper Camellia. But you know what? We didn’t get a photo…we were so busy checking out all the fabulous new products! I included a few photos from CHA...online friends, my projects that were on display, and of course the duck tape display!

I love the triangle grid of this paper, so much that...I almost hoarded it into my stash. But I brought myself to use it, and boy am I glad I did, I think this layout came out pretty fab!

Nashville Memories

Posted on February 21, 2014 by

Hi everyone, Amy here on the Paper Camellia blog to share another layout I created using the gorgeous February kits. For this layout, I had a TON of pictures, and I will admit it took me quite some time to come up with the design, but once I figured it out, the rest fell into place easily.

I loved all the fun embellishments that were included in the kit and I used a ton of them! Here are some closeups.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

Cupid's Arrow

Posted on February 20, 2014 by

Hi everyone, Aimee on the blog today. Valentine's Day may be over, but it’s never too late to celebrate love!
I made this layout “Cupid’s arrow” with February’s Main kit. I  love how I got to make this somewhat “boyish” layout using the grays in the kit.

I really think the gray stripes bring out our blue shirts and make my blue eyes pop! This “selfie” {which I am notorious for cutting half my face off} was taken at the Chargers game in San Diego. I love how I was able to capture our love. The two of us in a non football themed layout.

Pre K

Posted on February 18, 2014 by

Hello Paper Camellia fans! Today I have a new layout to share using the February main kit and add on kit.

For this one, I wanted to make a few things on my page pop out so I added some hand stitching with embroidery thread to look like a burst of rays. The piece of heart flair was where I started… I really wanted that to pop. First I placed my picture and patterned papers where I wanted them, but did not adhere anything down. Then I light drew in pencil some lines to follow. Once I was happy with the placement of the lines, I went back with my paper piercer and punch holes along the penciled lines. Before I added the hand stitching, I made sure that I had erased my pencil really well. I felt like I needed to balance the layout so I did a second burst of rays under my title. I took it one step further and embellished my rays with small epoxy dots. Oh, how I love those tiny circles. A perfect finishing touch!

Thank you for visiting the blog today!

You make my heart sing

Hi Paper Camellia fans, Amy here to share with you my take on Kristine's fabulous February sketch. Here is the sketch again.

And here is my take on it.

I kept with the basics of the sketch, but just used one photo. I loved how she stretched the design across the page, and I did the same, using some of the cards and fabulous embellishments included in the February kits.

Have you used the sketch?  We would love to see what you created. Join in on our monthly Sketch Challenge. Make sure you link up your project in the comments for this post  (or hop on over to our new Community Gallery, register, and start posting your layouts there. Sugar Lips

Posted on February 12, 2014 by

It’s Aimee sharing my “sugar lips” card, made from the February’s Main and Add On kit. When I was going through the add on kit, I was loving the “library card” packaging from the paper rosettes, so I decided to use it.

I cut it down to 4.25 x 6.75 and backed it with the minty aqua card stock from the main kit. A couple of pieces from the ephemera kit, twine, enamel dots and of course my trusty tiny attacher, I have the ‘sweetest” Valentines Day Card!

Thank you for visiting  the blog today.
