Hey there. Elizabeth here with my final Paper Camellia blog post. I'm so sorry to see PC go, so I decided to finish big. These huge gold Crate Paper letters rock my world. I wanted them to be the showcase of a couple of projects. Here's what I came up with...
Raise your hand if you're obsessed with this triangle patterned paper! I cut it up and pieced it back together allowing enough room for stitching in between.
Big letters + a long word means a small photo is in order...
It was awesome being on the Paper Camellia design team. I loved seeing all of your projects in the gallery, and your creativity with the kits. Hopefully I'll see you all around the scrapbooking community!
Hello my name is Elizabeth, and I love fussy cutting. Ok, not the actual cutting out intricate designs by hand part.. but the part where you can layer and arrange those pieces around the page.. count me in. When I see a glorious flower print like the one below I grab my scissors and get to work. I even love the way a bit of a borders left on looks.
Once everything is adhered in place I go through and bend or curl up some of the edges. This gives a cool dimension to the layout that it wouldn't have had if I had not been a fussy cutting fool. (not to be confused with cotton headed ninnymuggins.)
and because I just finished up my projects & these December kits are SO good I wanted to share a little December sneak.. Oh look, more cutting! I can't wait to share the rest!
You may have noticed that there's a fun piece of American Crafts velum in this months kit. Have you ever printed a photo right onto the paper? This is a first for me and I love the way it looks layered on the page.
As you can see I rolled the top portion and then sewed it into place. Sewing is a great replacement for adhesive. Now there's no sticky-ness showing through the photo.
Are you doing anything fun with your velum? There are so many possibilities! I hope you have a scrappy weekend!
Kristine Davidson created a fabulous sketch for us to work with this month, and I'm sure you'll love it as much as we did. Take a look.
This month, Veera and Elizabeth created these beautiful layouts based on the sketch to inspire you.
We can't wait to see what you do with the sketch, just link your project here in the comments, or upload to our gallery and you could win a $10 GC to the Paper Camellia shop. We can't wait to see what you create!
We are so excited to share our November kits with you, they are amazing. The design team really knocked it out of the park this month, wait until you see! Here are our November kits.

Here's a look at the design team's work with our November kits.
Gorgeous stuff! Check out our kits in the Paper Camellia shop, and stay tuned for some serious December Days inspiration coming soon!
What's better than the best photo, surrounded by the best embellishments... with the most gorgeous (best) patterned paper color combinations? Nothing. Sometimes there are just those pages that make you smile and say, "aww. That's the best."
Have you had any of those lately? Share them in the gallery so we can all, "aww," together!
Hey there! Do you ever get to the end of your kit and wonder.. what do I do with all of these leftover bits and pieces? They're too pretty to toss, but not enough for a page? Wrong! Grab a piece of cardstock and layer here and there. Then add the title and journaling and pretty soon you've used up every last bit!
One of these days I'm going to see just how many pages I can get out of one kit. It will be SO many! I just love using up every last piece. Hope you have a stellar and scrappy weekend.
