everyday cards

Posted on November 25, 2015 by

Hello all!

Today's post has something a little different from me.  Cards!  Some of the elements and the cut apart card sheet were begging to be used to make cards.  Not my usual thing but I really like how these came out.

These were so easy to put together.  They are both ?x? and fit into basic card envelopes.  A few layers of some of the cut apart card sheet, stickers, washi and elements were just right.

product used: November Main Kit + Heidi Swapp color shine

Thank you for having a look at my project today and I hope I have inspired you to step outside your comfort zone to create something different.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Posted on February 14, 2015 by

Happy Valentine’s Day to all Paper Camellia’s friends! It’s Veera here today to share Valentine’s Day tags made with February’s main kit!

Tags are fun to make! They can be used as cards or you can add them to a gift. You can even make a nice home decor banner out of them!

For these tags, I used the bits and pieces from the kit. These are super simple: just some papers layered, stickers and some stitching.

Have you remembered your friends and loved ones today?

February Sketch Challenge

Posted on February 02, 2015 by

Hi everyone, it's time for our monthly sketch challenge. We are doing something a little different this month! Since February is a big card month, we thought it would be fun to have a few cards sketches as a starting point for our challenge. The very talented Kristine Davidson designed these card sketches and they are great starting points for layouts as well as cards.

Some really fun layouts based on the sketches by our design team.

So will you use them as a card, a layout or both? Please join us for the challenge, and share a project based on this month's sketches using a Paper Camellia kit for a chance to win a $10.00 GC to our store. We would love to see what you come up with. Winner will be chosen at random from all entries on February 26th, 2015. To enter upload your project on our Gallery or link your project in the comments of this post.

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by.

Our November guest designer

Posted on November 18, 2014 by

I have to say that she is probably one of my very favorite designers out there.  Her work always speaks to me, and we are thrilled to have her joining us this month.  Say hello to Maggie Holmes and be prepared to be WOWED by her gorgeous work.

First up is this layout she created, and I have to say there's so much about this that I just LOVE.  She layers like nobody's business, and her stitching is always so perfect.

Next up is this card, I love how she added texture by crimping up; the edges of the paper, it's the perfect touch.

Thank you so much, Maggie, for taking the time to create some gorgeous projects using our main kit. How would you like to win a kit for yourself? We would like to give away one of our Everyday Life kits right here on the blog.

All you need to do is leave a comment here and sign up for our newsletter.  If you already get our newsletter just mention it in the comments and you'll still be entered to win.  Comment by Thursday night and we'll announce the winner here on the blog Friday.  Good luck!

There just might be another chance to win our main kit over on Maggie's blog, so make sure to stop by her blog and check it out.

By now you've seen our gorgeous December Days kit, and I'm sure you love it, right?  Let's take a quick look.

It's full of so many amazing products, including several products from Pink Paislee. We asked a few gals from the Pink Paislee design team to play along with our kit, and you'll be amazed at what they created.  First up is the super sweet, and amazingly talented Tegan Skwiat. Look at this amazing layout she created!

She also created these adorable gift card holders!

We love how you used the kit, Tegan! Next we have some projects from Jamie Pate.  Check out this gorgeous mini album she created!!

She also used the kit to create this fabulous pocket page!

Thank you so much, Tegan and Jamie, for using the Paper Camellia December Days kit to create such amazing projects.  We also have to say thanks to Pink Paislee for creating such fabulous products, make sure you stop by their blog.

You are the Best!

Hey everyone! It's Jen today, here on the blog for the first time! It was so exciting to get my first Paper Camellia kit. It was so full of goodies that the inspiration was endless. I received the Everyday Life kit but that didn't limit me to just creating pocket pages. Here are two cards I tossed together with bits that I had on my work table after creating my pocket pages.

Giving cards is always such a last minute thought for me and living in Hong Kong it's really hard to find one in English that is suitable for the occasion. Challenging myself to create cards with the bits and pieces on my table more often should help create a good stash!

Thanks for stopping by!
